Spain’s conservative leader Feijoo assumes defeat in PM bid

Spain’s conservative opposition leader, Alberto Nunez Feijoo, said on Friday he would lose a parliamentary vote to become prime minister.

“Today, I won’t be able to give you a government, but I have given you assurance and hope,” Feijoo told lower house lawmakers before his second investiture attempt, scheduled for later on Friday.
