Beijing: Pakistan and China celebrated 75 years of diplomatic relations with a spectacular cultural evening at Beijing’s iconic Badaling Great Wall, as the 2026 Beijing Great Wall Concert, “An Ode to Ironclad Friendship,” brought together music, dance and artistic traditions from both countries.

Jointly organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing and the China International Cultural Communication Center (CICCC), the landmark concert transformed one of China’s most celebrated historical sites into a stage for showcasing the enduring friendship and cultural affinity between the two nations.

Welcoming guests, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, said the Great Wall provided a befitting setting to commemorate the milestone year in Pakistan-China relations, noting that the historic landmark itself carries a special connection with the friendship between the two peoples.

The Ambassador highlighted the 1989 restoration of the section of the Great Wall between Watchtowers 6 and 7 at Badaling, carried out with support from the Government of Pakistan.
