New Yorkers throw Chinese New Year street party

Chinese New Year is a celebration of the arrival of spring, culture and prosperity the world over. Residents of Chinatown in New York City, United States were treated to a feast of color and dance to mark the arrival of the Year of the Dragon. Parades, lucky characters and showers of confetti filled the streets of the neighborhood on February 10, as New Yorkers delighted in the age-old Chinese festival.
