Feijoo falls short of votes to become Spain’s new PM

[ad_1]

Leader of Spain’s right-wing People’s Party (PP), Alberto Nunez Feijoo on Wednesday fell short of an overall majority of 176 votes in parliament to become the country’s prime minister, local media reported.

He will have another chance on Friday when a simple majority of more votes in favor of the appointment, regardless of whether he achieves the 176 overall majority, would be enough to make him prime minister.
