Education Minister marks World Teachers’ Day, commends educators

Manama, Oct. 4 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, reaffirmed Bahrain’s appreciation for all education sector staff, especially teachers, in recognition of their continued dedication and outstanding contributions to the nation’s educational system. The minister acknowledged the significant efforts made by educators in imparting knowledge across Bahrain’s schools.


In a statement marking World Teachers’ Day, observed annually on October 5, the minister expressed his appreciation to teachers for their noble and humanitarian role in shaping future generations. He highlighted that the education sector receives strong support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


The minister noted that Bahrain joins the global community in celebrating World Teachers’ Day, which this year carries the theme set by UNESCO, “ Valuing teacher voices: Towards a new social contract for education ” This theme encourages greater involvement of teachers in decision-making processes related to education, ultimately improving the quality and efficiency of educational policies.


The minister also announced that the Ministry of Education will hold a special event to mark World Teachers’ Day next Sunday, with broad participation from teachers in both public and private schools, along with education sector officials.
