Thai PM arrives in Shanghai for 2026 World AI Conference

Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Anutin Charnvirakul arrived in Shanghai on Thursday evening to attend the 2026 World AI Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance. He will pay an official visit to China from July 16 to 20.

This is Anutin’s first official visit to China since taking office, showcasing that both sides attach high importance to the development of China-Thailand relations.

In 2025, China and Thailand signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI), aiming to strengthen collaboration in AI development and governance and promote AI technology to benefit the people of both countries.
