No fear, just downhill

“How do you master mountain biking?” Mexican traveler Juan Carlos Cheang Guzman asks the coach. The coach says the secret is not to be afraid to fall. From the top of the Chongli Fulong Mountain Bike Park in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, the coach charges downhill on his bike, tires grinding over gravel, the frame leaping over steep slopes and sharp turns, carving an arc through the interplay of drops and speed. From weaving through the forest to precision bike handling, this downhill demonstration captures the very spirit of mountain biking: the skill is born of courage, and courage begins with a heart unafraid to fall.
