A rare journey: Hundreds of Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys on the move

Researchers have captured rare footage of more than 360 Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys traveling together across the forest floor in Yunling Nature Reserve in southwest China’s Yunnan Province. As one of China’s national first-class protected species, Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys typically inhabit high-altitude forests and spend most of their lives in the treetops, making such large-scale movement on the ground an exceptionally rare sight.
