China says EU steelmakers anti-subsidy probe disrupts trade rules

[ad_1]

China firmly opposes the unilateralism and trade protectionism that abuses trade remedies, said Chinese Commerce Ministry spokesperson He Yadong on Thursday, responding to a reporter’s query over the European Union’s plan to conduct an anti-subsidy probe into Chinese steelmakers.

The spokesperson said such an approach would disrupt international trade rules, increase downstream manufacturing costs and affect consumers’ interests, which is detrimental to the stability of the global supply chain.
