Bahrain Arts Society exhibition opens, celebrating 40 years of creativity
Manama, Dec. 4 (BNA): The Bahrain Arts Society’s annual exhibition opened on Monday at the Art Centre, attended by Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the National Council for Arts and Honorary President of the Bahrain Arts Society; Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA); and Shaikha Marwa bint Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Arts Society.
The event attracted artists, cultural enthusiasts, and media representatives, showcasing the vibrancy and richness of Bahrain’s art scene.
Marking the society’s 40th anniversary, the exhibition highlights its role in fostering Bahrain’s art movement. Featuring 84 Bahraini artists from various generations, the showcase includes works in painting, sculpture, photography, and multimedia, reflecting the diversity and evolution of Bahrain’s cultural heritage.
The exhibition runs until December 15, welcoming visitors daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, providing an opportunity to experience the creativity of Bahrain’s artists across different schools and styles.
Since its establishment in 1983, the Bahrain Arts Society has played a central role in enriching the local art scene, promoting Bahraini artists on national and international platforms, and preserving the Kingdom’s artistic heritage while embracing global trends.
