President Sisi, Danish King participate in Egyptian-Danish trade forum in Copenhagen
COPENHAGEN – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and King Frederik X of Denmark participated on Friday in the Egyptian-Danish trade forum, which is held as part of the activities of President Sisi’s state visit to Denmark.
The forum brings together Danish and Egyptian companies and decision-makers. It discusses means of boosting economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
President Sisi on Friday laid a wreath at the Monument for Denmark’s International Effort since 1948 at the Citadel in Copenhagen.
President Sisi and King Frederik rode a horse-drawn coach, escorted by the Guard Hussar Regiment’s Mounted Squadron, to Amalienborg Palace (the official residence for the Danish royal family) in Copenhagen.
Earlier in the day, President Sisi arrived at the Danish Royal Palace for talks with King of Denmark Frederik X.
Upon his arrival, an official reception ceremony was held for President Sisi on Amalienborg Palace Square. At the welcoming ceremony, the Band of the Royal Life Guard played the national anthem anthems of both countries.
During his state visit to Denmark, which started on Thursday, President Sisi is scheduled to have talks with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Speaker of the Folketing (President of parliament) Søren Gade.
