$6.1 billion tourism income in October
Amman, Nov. 18 (BNA): Tourism revenue in Jordan during the first ten months of the current year reached $6.153 billion, representing a decrease of 4.4% compared to the same period in 2023, due to a 6.6% decline in the number of tourists.
Data from the Central Bank of Jordan, showed an increase in tourism revenue from Jordanian expatriates by 6.2%, and from Arab tourists by 11.6%, while revenue from European, American, and other nationalities declined, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
It was noted that spending on tourism abroad during the first ten months of the current year increased by 2%, reaching $1.657 billion, compared to the same period in 2023.
