Nature Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan discuss environmental protection cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM – Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Meder Mashiev met with Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan Erlan Nysanbayev on the sidelines of COP29 in Baku, the Ministry of Natural Resources reported.

The 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-29) is taking place in Baku on November 11-22.

The Minister of Ecology of Kazakhstan visited the national pavilion of Kyrgyzstan. The Ministers discussed the prospects for further cooperation in the field of ecology, environmental protection and sustainable development of the region.

Particular attention was paid to climate change issues in Central Asia and joint efforts to overcome environmental challenges.
