Iran exports over 2 million tons of goods to EAEU in 5 months

Iran exported more than two million tons of non-oil goods to the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2024).

The country exported 2.2 million tons of non-oil products, valued at $748 million, to EAEU member states from March 21 to August 22, 2024, showing a 35 and a 16 percent growth in weight and value, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

The largest increase in the volume of Iranian exports to EAEU member states was to Kyrgyzstan, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) reported.

IRICA’s statistics showed that 3.9 million tons of goods, valued at $1.6 billion, were imported into the country from the EAEU between March 21 and August 22, 2024.

Iran had exported 4.5 million tons of goods, valued at $1.7 billion, to the EAEU member states last year.

Iran imported 10 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at about $5.3 billion, from the EAEU member states in 2023.
