Egypt’s Ministry of Civil Aviation is preparing for the Egypt International Aviation and Space Exhibition 2024, set to take place in the new city of Alamein from 3-5 September 2024 at Alamein International Airport. This global event is expected to attract over 100 countries and more than 300 companies, including major aircraft manufacturers and space industry leaders.

The exhibition will feature a large display of civil and military aircraft and professional aerial performances by elite international airshow teams.

Civil Aviation Minister Dr. Sameh El-Hefny recently toured Alamein International Airport to inspect logistical preparations and ensure that all necessary facilities are in place to accommodate the event’s guests.

He was accompanied by senior officials, including Captain Ahmed Mansour, Chairman of the Egyptian Airports Company, and Captain Wael El-Nashar, the minister’s aviation security advisor.

During his visit, El-Hefny reviewed airport operations, including passenger services in arrival and departure halls, baggage claim areas, and business lounges. He emphasised the need for enhanced coordination and the deployment of additional staff to facilitate the smooth handling of participants and visitors. El-Hefny also highlighted Egypt’s commitment to ensuring the exhibition’s success, stressing that it offers a significant opportunity to showcase the country’s progress in the aviation industry.

Meanwhile, EgyptAir has been announced as the official carrier for the exhibition.

The national airline has launched a major promotional campaign for the event, offering a 15% discount on its flights for participants. EgyptAir is also set to operate additional flights to Alamein before, during, and after the exhibition to support travel needs.

To further promote the event, EgyptAir has branded some of its aircraft with the exhibition’s logo and will display a promotional video on flights and in its worldwide offices.

The exhibition is seen as a unique opportunity to foster international co-operation in the aviation industry, with leading global agencies and organisations participating to exchange ideas and showcase the latest innovations in the field.
