CAIRO – President of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM) Sahar El-Sonbaty has stressed the need to build cadres trained on standard operating procedures to combat child labour, with the aim of activating the monitoring and case management system and reaching the largest number of children at risk of working at a young age in an attempt to combat child labour.
The NCCM finds it necessary to support child labor combat in quick and urgent ways while addressing the reasons that led to depriving them of their basic rights within the family, from the perspective of developing the Egyptian family, building people and improving population characteristics in a positive way in line with the goals of sustainable development and Egypt Vision 2030.
This came during a training of trainers workshop on standard of operating procedures to combat child labour, which is held by the NCCM in cooperation with the International Labor Organisation (ILO).
The course runs from August 11 to 15.
