Strong winds tear off roofs of four buildings and knock down 30 trees in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM – Strong winds tore off the roofs of four multi-story buildings and knocked down 30 trees in Bishkek, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

Four cars were damaged, the roofs of one residential building and one teahouse were blown off.

There are no casualties, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

Strong winds were registered in Bishkek and Chui region from 5:49 pm to 7 pm. The speed of winds reached 26 m/s.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations rescuers and mayor’s office employees are eliminating the wind consequences.
