“Iran’s economic exchanges with Kurdistan region can multiply”

Vice-President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Payam Bagheri has said that Iran and the Iraqi Kurdistan Region have the potentials of increasing their economic exchanges by several times.

He made the remarks addressing the opening ceremony of an exhibition of export potentials of Iran’s northern Qazvin Province in Erbil.

With joint borders and huge potentials for cooperation, the volume of trade between Iran and the Kurdistan region is too low, Bagheri said.

He highlighted that Iran can meet different needs of the Kurdistan region cities, such as Erbil and Sulaymaniyah.

Noting that the Iraqi Kurdistan region is a competitive market, he urged the Iranian economic actors to export high-quality products to the region with competitive prices.
