AKIPRESS.COM – Akzhol Makhmudov lost the quarterfinals of men’s 77 kg Greco-Roman wrestling on August 6 at the Olympic Games in Paris.
Akzhol Makhmudov defeated Kamal Bey of the USA in the 1/8 finals and then faced Kazakhstan’s Demeu Zhadrayev in the quarterfinals.
The Kyrgyz wrestler lost 1:3 and did not advance to the semifinals. If Zhadrayev reaches the final, Makhmudov will compete in the repechage bout for a chance to win bronze.
