Mountain goats easily climbing rocks caught on video in Chui

AKIPRESS.COM – Tourists caught on video a herd of ibexes in Jayil district gorge.

“We were walking down the mountain bottom, and suddenly a herd of ibexes emerged on one of the hillsides. The animals were easily climbing a very steep slope. We noticed both adults with huge horns and young goats,” the tourists said. 

Ecologist Aleksandr Sosnovskiy commented that these animals can easily navigate through rocks thanks to their unique hooves, which are divided into two parts, with relatively soft pads inside surrounded by a hard horn layer around the edges.
