Live: Caring for endangered South China tiger cubs

July 29 marks “World Tiger Day.” In Shanghang County of Longyan City in east China’s Fujian Province, lies the largest South China tiger wilderness training base in the country. The South China tiger, a subspecies of tiger found only in China, is considered as the world’s most endangered animal. In January 2024, three female cubs were born at the facility. They have now crossed the six-month mark, the most critical period of their early life.
