Iran has exported as much as $17.5 billion worth of non-oil product in the four calendar months to July 21, marking an 8% year-on-year growth, according to the head of the country’s customs administration.
Mohammad Rezvanifar announced the figure during a meeting in Tehran on Tuesday with the members of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (TCCIMA).
He put the country’s non-oil foreign trade (exports and imports altogether) during the four-month period at $36 billion.
The official noted that Iran’s exports accounted for $17.5 billion of the figure with the rest $18.5 billion being Iran’s imports.
Iran’s non-oil exports registered an 8% year-on-year increase while the country’s imports saw a 6% decline in the period under review, Rezvanifar said.
