Jeddah AgroFood exhibition highlights modern agricultural technologies
Jeddah, Dec. 5 (BNA): The second day of the third Jeddah International Agriculture and Food Exhibition (AgroFood Jeddah) showcased a range of investment opportunities and the latest agricultural technologies and innovations.
Visitors to the exhibition, held at the Jeddah Center for Exhibitions and Events from December 3-5, were intrigued by artificial trees that can extract moisture from the air. This innovative technology involves placing pipes within tree branches to absorb and convert external gas into drinking water, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA),
Participating countries showcased the latest agricultural technologies and solutions to enhance sustainability in various areas, including Arabic coffee cultivation, beekeeping, honey production, and vertical farming for leafy vegetables, aromatic plants, and roses.
Local and international pavilions featured numerous workshops that introduced financing programmes and initiatives offered by the agricultural sector in participating countries to support the diversification of agricultural production.
