BACA organises meetings with French, British archaeological missions

Manama, Nov. 22 (BNA): The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) continues its efforts to raise awareness of Bahrain’s cultural and historical heritage by organising two open meetings with the French and British archaeological missions.

The authority invites all interested individuals to attend, offering a unique opportunity to learn about the progress of archaeological excavations and cultural preservation in Bahrain. Details about the meetings and directions to the archaeological sites are available on the authority’s social media (@CultureBah) and website (www.culture.gov.bh).

The first meeting with the French archaeological mission will take place tomorrow, Saturday, at 10:00 am at the Abu Saiba archaeological site, where attendees can explore the latest updates, including significant discoveries related to the Tylos civilisation.

The second meeting with the British archaeological mission will be held next Tuesday at 4:00 pm in Hamad Town, focusing on the findings of excavations on ancient irrigation canals, part of the region’s historic water infrastructure.
