China’s trade with Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies reached a historic high, surpassing 21 trillion yuan ($2.91 trillion) in the first 10 months of 2024. Eight of China’s top 10 trading partners are APEC members, and China is the largest trading partner for 13 APEC economies.
The rapid development of China’s economy has not only brought prosperity and tremendous changes to China and greatly improved its people’s living standards, but also brough great opportunities and tangible benefits to APEC economies and their peoples. From 2014 to 2023, China’s trade with APEC economies totaled $30.62 trillion.
