‘Yasmina’ play impresses at third Bahrain Theatre Festival

Manama, Nov. 8 (BNA): On the fourth day of the Third Bahrain Theatre Festival, Al Reef Theatre’s play “Yasmina,” written by Rabab Mahdi and directed by Ali Marhoon, captivated audiences with its exploration of modern life’s rapid changes and challenges. The play’s message emphasised resilience and appreciation of life’s beauty, aligning with the festival’s vision.


Outstanding performances by Aqeel Al Majed, Ali Marhoon, and Marija Rakic, along with high production quality, were key highlights. Artistic contributions included a score by Hassan Shams, set design by Abdulrahman Al Ruwaie, lighting by Abdullah Al Bakri, and costumes by Ameera Sulail.


The Bahrain Theatre Union honoured Ali Bader, Deputy Chairman of Al Reef Theatre, for his contributions to Bahrain’s theatre scene. “Yasmina” was well received, with audiences praising its impactful script and performances as a meaningful addition to the festival.
