Mongolian athlete wins medal at MMA World Championships for first time
AKIPRESS.COM – The MMA Youth and Adult World Championships are taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on November 5-10, with over 900 athletes from 85 countries competing, GoGo reported.
In the women’s 61.2 kg weight category, Mongolian athlete B. Altanchimeg, who previously won a bronze medal at the Asian Championships, defeated Uzbek athlete Pokiza Baksrieva to secure a bronze medal. Today, she will face Slovakia’s champion Eva Erdeliova in a match for the silver medal.
B. Altanchimeg has become the first Mongolian athlete to win a medal at the MMA World Championships.
