Morocco, France sign declaration on ‘Reinforced Exceptional Partnership’
Rabat, Oct. 29 (BNA): His Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of Morocco and His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of France, signed the Declaration on “the reinforced exceptional partnership” between Morocco and France, aimed to better address shared challenges by mobilizing all relevant sectors of bilateral, regional and international cooperation.
The meeting included discussions on their countries’ joint action, both bilaterally and internationally, which would continue to rest on the following principles: State-to-State relations, sovereign equality, non-interference in internal affairs and foreign policy decisions, respect for the commitment of each towards the other, according to the Maghreb Arabe Press (MAP).
Proposals were made to consolidate political and strategic ties between the two countries and promote economic development, social cohesion and strategic autonomy. Morocco and France signed 22 cooperation agreements during the visit, covering areas such as energy, rail, air and maritime transport, investment promotion, education, agriculture and water, and culture, defence, and cooperation in sports and major events organization, following the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games and in preparation for the 2030 Football World Cup.
