Friendship Park of Regions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia worth $2 mln opens in Jalal-Abad

AKIPRESS.COM – Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Head of the President’s Administration of Kyrgyzstan Alylbek Japarov as part of his working visit to Jalal-Abad region participated on the inauguration ceremony of the Park of Friendship of Regions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia in Jalal-Abad town, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

Japarov congratulated the residents of Jalal-Abad town and expressed confidence that the Park will become a favorite place for citizens and guests of the town, the symbol of friendship between regions and the two countries and communication between future generations.

Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Interregional Relations and Cultural Contacts with Foreign Countries of the Administration of the President of Russia Igor Maslov heading the delegation said that Kyrgyzstan is a strategic partner and ally of Russia. The countries established a political dialogue and inter-regional cooperation, he noted.

The area of the Friendship Park of the Regions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia is 8.2 hectares. The Park is equipped with playgrounds, fountains, bike paths, playgrounds, art-objects and recreation areas. Various species of trees and flowers are also planted there.

Construction of the Friendship Park between Kyrgyzstan and Russia cost $2 million.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of state agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, representatives of the diplomatic corps, local residents and guests.
