Iran Chamber of Commerce experiences shared with ICCD members

A plenary meeting of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) was held in Istanbul, Turkey, where successful experiences of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) were shared with other member chambers.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of an ICCD Summit in the Turkish city on Wednesday.

Apart from ICCIMA President Samad Hassanzadeh, two other ICCIMA board members, and some other members of its board of representatives, as well as Iran’s commercial attachés in Ankara and Istanbul represented Iran at the event.

Addressing the ICCD plenary meeting, representatives from the private sectors of Iran, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan and Cyprus shared their successful experiences with other chamber members.

Keyvan Kashevi, a board member of Iran Chamber of Commerce talked about the chamber’s experience in launching the “Dialogue Council of the Government and the Private Sector”, hailing the role of the Iran Chamber of Commerce which hosts the secretariat of the council.  

The council, which convenes twice a month, has enabled direct talks between the private sector representatives and senior government officials, including the economic team of the cabinet, including the ministers of economy, agriculture, and industry. It is chaired by the economy minister who regularly attends the council meetings.

Local meetings of the council are also held at the country’s local chambers of commerce across the country in presence of senior provincial and local officials.
