Ruling party of Mongolia wins local elections in Ulaanbaatar

AKIPRESS.COM – The Mongolian People’s Party celebrates a “historic” victory in the local elections (Khural of Citizens’ Representatives) in the capital of the country.

After the end of voting in the regular elections to the local government bodies of aimags, soums, the capital and its districts in 2024, it became known that the ruling party, according to preliminary results of count of ballots, won the local elections.

According to preliminary results of the elections, 40 out of 45 mandates of the capital’s Khural of Citizens’ Representatives were received by the Mongolian People’s Party and five by the Democratic Party.

The capital will announce the results of the vote in the near future. Aimags must install screens and openly report the results in their territories.
