Speaker meets Saudi Shura Council Speaker


Riyadh, Oct. 8 (BNA): Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, met with Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al Sheikh, Speaker of Shura Council of Saudi Arabia, to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two legislative bodies.

The meeting highlighted the growing ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, under the he leaderships of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

He also highlighted the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.

Both speakers stressed the importance of continued collaboration to address mutual interests and challenges through high-level coordination.

Discussions focused on enhancing parliamentary cooperation to support joint initiatives, investment opportunities, and sustainable development.

Al Musallam praised Saudi Arabia’s significant role in promoting regional and global stability and described Bahrain-Saudi relations as a model of cooperation.

On his part, Dr. Al Sheikh highlighted the strong partnership between the two kingdoms and the role of parliamentary collaboration in strengthening ties and advancing shared goals.

He expressed the Shura Council’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Bahrain’s Council of Representatives through the exchange of expertise and coordinated parliamentary efforts.
