The moves came days after the EU voted for tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles. The country will take all necessary measures to firmly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese industries and enterprises, Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) added Tuesday.

The graphics show the 10 most traded goods between China and the EU in 2023. Vehicles, aircraft, vessels and associated transport equipment ranked third among China’s most imported goods from the EU last year. Meanwhile, spirits, packaged food, beverages, vinegar, tobacco and substitutes ranked seventh.
