Kazakhstan holds construction of nuclear power plant
AKIPRESS.COM – A national referendum kicked off in Kazakhstan, where citizens will decide whether or not to build a nuclear power plant in the country.
According to the legislation of Kazakhstan, the referendum is a popular vote on draft constitutions, laws and decisions on other important issues of state life. It is regulated by the constitutional law on the national referendum, and is organized by specially formed commission.
The main vote today on October 6 will be held at polling stations from 07:00 am to 08:00 pm. More than 80 polling stations started their work at 06:00 am. There are more than 10,000 polling stations in the country.
