Iran reaches good agreements over its assets in Qatar: Pezeshkian
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Iran and Qatar have reached good agreements on $6 billion of Iranian assets in the Arab country.
Speaking upon arrival from his two-day visit to Doha, the president said that the governors of the central banks of the two countries held a meeting over the case of Iranian assets in Qatar.
Pezeshkian said that he and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani also discussed the issue in a bilateral meeting where “we reached good agreements”. He did not elaborate.
The Iranian president arrived in the Qatari capital of Doha on Wednesday at the head of a high-ranking political and economic delegation in order to participate in the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD).
He was accompanied by ministers of energy, foreign affairs and sport and youth as well as a number of the country’s lawmakers and the president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Samad Hassanzadeh.
On the sidelines of the event, Iran and Qatar signed six cooperation documents in the fields of trade and economy, culture, education, sports, agriculture, and ports.
