Muftis of Turkic states hold meeting in Astana
AKIPRESS.COM – The 5th meeting of the Board of the Muftis of the Organization of Turkic States takes place in Astana.
Mufti of Kazakhstan Nooruzbay Tagn uulu, Mufti of Kyrgyzstan Abdulaziz Zakirov, President of Religious Affairs of Turkey Ali Erbaş, Head of the Religious Council of the Caucasus Allahshukur Pashazadeh, Chairman of the Muslim Board in Uzbekistan Nuriddin Kholiknazarov, Deputy Secretary General Mirvokhid Azimov and other officials.
The meeting participants discussed the role of Islam in promoting local traditions and the position of the Fiqh school on fatwa.
