Dozens of coal trucks stopped at Naryn transport control post for overloading

AKIPRESS.COM – A long line of coal trucks is observed at the Dyikan transport control post in the village of Epkin, Jumgal district, Naryn region.

It is reported that each driver of these vehicles were fined 17,000 som for overloading.

Employees of the Naryn territorial department of the Land and Water Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications have stopped more than 20 trucks carrying coal. They were heading from Kara-Keche and Ak-Ulak coal fields to Bishkek.

Some trucks were carrying coal to the thermal power plant, the others to the coaling station of Balykchy.

During the checks at the transport control post, it was established that there is an overload of up to 200 kg every autumn. The vehicles were stopped on October 2 at about 8:00 pm. However, the drivers are not allowed to unload a portion of the coal themselves and distribute it by axial load.

The truck drivers said that there is a weight control at coal mines. According to them, if the vehicles are overloaded, they would not be permitted to travel. They noted that there should be an accurate weight control at the exit of the coal mines if such control (at Dyikan post) repeats.

Specialists at Dyikan post said that the drivers will not be allowed to move, until the drivers pay a 17,000 som fine. According to them, surveillance cameras are installed at the transport control post. The employees say they were earlier reprimanded for passing overloaded trucks without imposing fines.
