Number of conscripts increases in Kazakhstan to 40,202 people
AKIPRESS.COM – The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan has increased the number of conscripts to 40,202 people.
The government’s decree on dismissal of conscripts and the recruitment of citizens for military service in 2024 has been amended to increase the number of conscripts.
According to the decree, heads of regions and large cities should organize works of the conscript commissions.
Some 40,202 people aged 18-27, who are not eligible for deferral or exemption from conscription, are planned to be recruited.
The conscription will be conducted in two phases, from March to June and from September to December.
The decree is in force from September 26. Earlier 39,180 people were called out.
