You’ve watched fashion shows in London and Paris, but how about an ethnic-clothing fete in a prefecture with 33 ethnic minority groups? In Kaili, located in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture in the mountainous province of Guizhou, the fest is held every Friday through Sunday night. A 50-meter-long outdoor corridor in a township plaza was turned into an open, non-profit runway for minority residents and businesses to showcase their ethnic traditions and heritages – some have even made it to the Paris and Milan fashion weeks!
