Japan’s Rakuten says card unit in alliance talks with Mizuho

TOKYO : Japan’s Rakuten Group said on Monday its credit card unit and Mizuho Financial Group were in talks to forge a capital and business alliance.

Rakuten also said it was cancelling a planned reorganisation of its financial technology business.
