China's central bank move boosts market confidence
China’s central bank cut its key short-term policy rate and lowered the amount of cash banks must keep in reserve on Friday, following the Thursday Politburo meeting. Stock markets rallied to welcome the strong monetary stimulus package. Ben Harburg, Managing Partner at MSA Capital told CGTN that overseas institutional investors are particularly incentivized to invest in China following the central bank move and top policy makers’ long list of goals in shoring up the Chinese economy.
