Armenia reopens corruption case against ex-president Kocharyan

Armenian authorities have reopened the criminal case against former President Robert Kocharian. The decision was announced by the press service of Armenia’s Court of Cassation.

Report informs via Armenian media that the Anti-Corruption Court of Cassation overturned the earlier ruling by judge Anna Danibekyan, which had previously dismissed the charges against Kocharyan and three other high-ranking officials: former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov, former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, and former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan.

The case has now been referred back to the Anti-Corruption Court for a fresh investigation.
