AGU, Education Ministry announce HM King Hamad Academic Chair Scholarship for Master’s in digital education

Manama, Aug. 30 (BNA): The Arabian Gulf University (AGU), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has announced the His Majesty King Hamad Academic Chair Scholarship for Digital Education for pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Digital Education. 


This scholarship covers the programme fees for two academic years 2024-2025. Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:


– Be a Bahraini citizen.


– Be no older than 35 years at the time of application.


– Fulfil the following admission requirements for the Master of Science in Digital Education programme at the Arabian Gulf University:


1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of no less than ‘Very Good’ (3 out of 4) from a recognised university in education, technology, or related fields.


2. Achieve a minimum score of 35 on the TOEFL-IBT (American) or 5.0 on the IELTS (British) English proficiency test.


3. Submit a report detailing the objectives of applying for the scholarship and how it will contribute to achieving the applicant’s professional and future goals within the education system in the Kingdom of Bahrain, not exceeding 400 words in Arabic or English.


4. Successfully pass the personal interview and any examinations or academic requirements specified by the programme.


5. Provide a health fitness certificate from a government hospital.


Application Process:


– Interested applicants should submit a formal request for the scholarship to the email address Scholarship@moe.gov.bh, between today, Friday, August 30, and next Friday, September 6. The following documents must be attached:


1. A copy of the passport.


2. A curriculum vitae (CV).


3. A certified copy of the Bachelor’s degree.


4. The English language proficiency certificate.


5. The scholarship application report.


6. The health fitness certificate.


7. Any additional documents such as recommendation letters from employers or academics who have worked with the applicant, if available.
