Beijing: Media cooperation is vital for deepening Pakistan-China relations in new era, particularly in the context of shared regional and global opportunities and challenges, said Pakistan’s Ambassador Khalil Hashmi while hosting Pakistan-China media delegation at the Pakistan House in Beijing on Tuesday.
The interaction with media delegation was part of ongoing efforts of Pakistan Embassy Beijing to further strengthen bilateral ties through enhanced media collaboration.
The delegation included prominent journalists from both the countries, representatives of China International Communication Group.

Pakistan’s Ambassador Khalil briefed the delegation about Embassy’s efforts for the realization of the leadership’s vision of both the countries for further enhancing cooperation in various sectors.
He also underlined the vital role of media in projecting the positive stories of Pakistan-China ties. The Ambassador expressed satisfaction on media exchanges between Pakistani and Chinese, and elaborated on ways to further enhances this cooperation.
The Pakistan media delegation shared experiences from their visit to various parts of China. The representatives from China International Communication Group and Chinese media elaborated opportunities for future collaboration with Pakistani media.
Media connectivity and exchanges are important to enhance mutual understanding about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as this BRI project faces mistrust crisis in the age of fake news and disinformation.
