Tashkent, Uzbekistan: An enchanting art gala concert, featuring Azerbaijani and Uzbek artists, and showcasing the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan was held in Tashkent city on Friday, with the Presidents of both nations and their spouses in attendance.

The concert reflecting Silk Road art and music was presented to welcome the high-level delegation of Azerbaijan led President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, their daughter Leyla Aliyeva who are visiting Uzbekistan on the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The musical gala was held to represent the enduring friendship and growing alliance between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan over the centuries.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his wife, Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva, welcomed President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva who arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan for a state visit on August 22.

During the important visit, Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with representatives from the business communities of both countries in Tashkent.

During the bilateral talks in Tashkent., both leaders hailed the fact that the relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have a strategic partnership nature and discussed cooperation in the energy, transportation, and tourism sectors. The sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan🇺🇿 and Azerbaijan🇦🇿 engaged in discussions with business representatives from both nations to explore new avenues for trade and economic cooperation.

At the conclusion of the bilateral meetings, the leaders presided over a ceremony to inaugurate several projects, including construction and manufacturing initiatives, designed to enhance mutual trade volumes, establish modern production facilities, and create new employment opportunities.

During the visit, Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held a limited-format meeting with Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in Tashkent to forge bilateral cooperation in diverse fields.

During the meeting, they hailed the fact that the relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have a strategic partnership nature and discussed cooperation in the energy, transportation, and tourism sectors. The sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues.

On August 23, a ceremony of signing documents for cooperation partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent with the participation of Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Presidents of Azerbaijan and of the Republic of Uzbekistan agreed to strengthen their political dialogue, provide mutual support at multilateral platforms, continue active contacts at the level of parliaments, governments, industries, ministries and, most importantly, regions. Special attention has been paid to building up practical cooperation. We have emphasized the importance of increasing the volume of trade.
