Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan comments on bill on deportation of migrants from Russia for lack of knowledge of Russian language

AKIPRESS.COM – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan commented on the bill on deportation of migrants from Russia for lack of knowledge of Russian language.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, some 333,974 citizens of Kyrgyzstan stayed in Russia in the first half of the year.

Citizens of Kyrgyzstan stay and work in Russia according to the provisions of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty. This means that citizens of EAEU countries work on the same conditions and in the same order like citizens of the host country.

“During recruitment, citizens of Kyrgyzstan are not required to take Russian language, history and law exams, they are not required to obtain work patents and permits. Hence, this bill does not apply to citizens of Kyrgyzstan, which is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union,” the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said.
