Tourism minister discusses with investors means to develop travel sector
CAIRO – Egyptian Tourism Minister Sherif Fathy has underscored the importance of initiatives made over the past period, believing they will contribute to increasing the flow of tourism investments.
Fathy, in a meeting with businesspeople earlier Wednesday, talked about more incentives that would help achieve aspired goals from such a promising sector, such as tourism.
The meeting took up problems facing investors and their proposals on how to develop the tourism sector.
The minister urged action to determine obstacles and remove them, noting that this is important to attract more investment to this vital sector.
Extra effort is also needed to promote investment opportunities and establish more tourism projects across Egypt, he noted.
The meeting was attended by Housing Minister Sherif el-Sherbini and Investment Minister Hassan el-Khateeb.
