Kyrgyzstan holds talks on production of KAMAZ, Porter and SHACMAN trucks – Ministry of Economy

AKIPRESS.COM – Kyrgyzstan’s automotive industry has a promising future, according to Eldos Sagymbaev, the chief specialist of the Industrial Management Department at the Ministry of Economy.

Negotiations are currently underway within the EAEU with Russia regarding the production of KamAZ trucks.

“Additionally, the Kyrgyz Unaa Kurulush plant in Osh is considering a project to produce small trucks similar to the Korean KIA and Hyundai Porter models. There are also plans for a joint venture to produce heavy trucks based on the Chinese SHACMAN brand. Relevant agreements for this project were signed in May 2023,” he explained.
