The Indonesian Embassy in Azerbaijan held a flag-raising ceremony to mark the 79th anniversary of independence.
According to Report, the theme of the event reflected the spirit of “New Indonesia,” focusing on promoting sustainable development and equality throughout the country.
The event was attended by the Chargé d’Affaires of Indonesia in Azerbaijan, Merita Yenni, embassy staff, Indonesian citizens in Azerbaijan, and others.
After the flag-raising ceremony, those present sang the national anthem “Indonesia Raya,” performed by Indonesian students in Azerbaijan.
The formal ceremony was followed by festive events and the awarding of winners of traditional Indonesian games that were held in July 2024, including table tennis, racing, and others.
