Kyrgyzstan won 9 Olympic medals in its independent history

AKIPRESS.COM – Olympians from Kyrgyzstan won two medals on August 6 at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Zholaman Sharshenbekov won a bronze medal in men’s Greco-Roman wrestling 60 kg, and Meerim Zhumanazarova won a silver medal in women’s freestyle wrestling 68 kg.

In the history of independent Kyrgyzstan, there are a total of 9 medals won by Kyrgyz athletes in Olympic Games (4 silver and 5 bronze).
